The Johnsons Veterinary Products website was fully upgraded in June 2005 to improve its accessibility and usability for all visitors. The upgraded site has been coded to strict standards to ensure that it operates across multiple platforms and browsers, to enable all users to access content, regardless of any personal disability.

It is our intention to provide as wide access as possible to this website. Should you experience any difficulties using the site we would very much like to hear about any such difficulties, so that we may take steps to rectify them. Please email website@JVP.co.uk with details of the problem, the name and version of the browser you are using and, if possible, details of the operating system and screen settings you are using.

This policy only applies to web pages on the main Johnsons Veterinary Products website. Other websites linked to from this website may not meet to the same accessibility standards.

The site includes an easy-to-use text-size selector at the top of each page. This lets you easily set the site's default text to either "small" (around 10pt), "medium" (11pt) or "large" (16pt). The text-size selector uses a cookie to record your preferred text-size from page-to-page, and for subsequent visits to the site. All pages on this site also use relative font sizes. If you prefer not to accept cookies, or need to increase the text size further, you can also control the text size using your web browser . To increase or decrease the text size in common web browsers:

In Internet Explorer, go to View > Text Size.
In Netscape, go to View > Text Zoom.
In Opera, go to View > Zoom.

PDF Files

The site contains a number of support materials and JVP publications in PDF format. You will need an up-to-date verison of the Adobe Acrobat Reader, or similar PDF viewing software, in order to view these files.

If you do not have the latest version installed, you can download it from the Adobe website.

In future, we hope in include HTML versions of all the major documents currently in PDF format. In the meantime, you will find more information on accessing PDF files and tools for converting PDF files to text at access.adobe.com

The Johnsons Veterinary Products has endeavoured to ensure that:

All pages on this site validate as XHTML 1.0 Transitional
All stylesheets used validate as CSS2
All pages on this site use structured semantic markup, e.g. h1 tags for main page headings, h2 tags for sub-headings, and so on.

Browser Compatibility

This site uses cascading style sheets (CSS) for visual layout and presentation. The site is best viewed in a 'standards compliant' web browser with proper stylesheet support, such as a recent version of Internet Explorer (5+), Netscape, Opera or Firefox.

If you are using a browser which does not support style sheets (such as a PDA or text-only browser), or an older browser with poor stylesheet support (such as Netscape 4), the content of each page should still be fully accessible, but will be presented in plain-text format.
